ANC Sizing — Individual & Collective Sanitation

Direct import of Porchet tests, multilayer soil profile, triple cross-check between measured / theoretical values and the BRGM geological map, groundwater vulnerability analysis and a complete sizing engine compliant with NF DTU 64.1. PDF report ready for SPANC review and one-click JSON export.

International availability — the automatic retrieval of geological and piezometric data (BRGM, Hub'Eau) covers France. For a project located in another country, these parameters must be entered manually by the user; the automation of this retrieval by country is under development.

Features

From the field test to the SPANC-ready file

Complete project identification

Owner, surveying organization, drilling company, SPANC case number and building permit number. Automatic identification of the competent SPANC by geolocation (postal code) of the test points.

Multilayer soil profile & Porchet import

Layer table (depth, facies, porosity), direct import of the JSON exported by Porchet Test Modeling, and a scrolling bar of 24 geological facies classified by family with Kdim retained per DTU 64.1.

Triple consistency cross-check

Automatic comparison of the measured K (Porchet), the theoretical permeability of the facies (bibliographic table) and the official geological formation published by the BRGM (BD Charm-50 / InfoTerre) at the exact test point.

Vulnerability & receptor inventory

The 35 m rule (drinking water intakes/wells), groundwater depth vs. trench bottom, automatic inventory of Hub'eau/BRGM structures within a 3 km radius, and Domenico attenuation model to estimate the residual impact at each receptor.

DTU 64.1 sizing engine

Grease pretreatment, septic tank, automatic selection of the system (trenches, spreading bed, non-drained/drained sand filter, mound), lifting station if required — all formulas displayed on screen and in the report.

Maps, conceptual model & report

Embedded BRGM/Sandre hydrogeological maps, automatically generated conceptual model of the installation, PDF report ready for SPANC review with a feasibility summary note and structured JSON export.

Method

From the in-situ soil to the selected system

The software first determines whether infiltration into the in-situ soil is possible, by cross-referencing the measured Kdim (Porchet tests), the dominant geological facies and the useful thickness of the relevant layer below the planned trench bottom.

Permeability classification (NF DTU 64.1)

Kdim (m/s) → mm/h conversion, then classification: K > 500 mm/h very permeable soil (spreading bed) · 50–500 mm/h permeable (infiltration trenches, 45 ml up to 5 PE + 9 ml/additional PE) · 30–50 mm/h moderately permeable (trenches, 50 ml + 10 ml/additional PE) · 15–30 mm/h poor permeability (parcel-level study, non-drained sand filter as a cautious alternative) · K < 15 mm/h impermeable soil (drained sand filter mandatory with an authorized outlet).

Confirmed infiltration incapacity

When the Kdim is < 15 mm/h and/or the dominant facies (clay, marl, clayey silt, compact shale) is present over a significant continuous thickness, the tool displays an explicit verdict of impossible infiltration and automatically determines the substitute system (vertical drained sand filter) with surface area, filter bed thickness and drain length.

Vulnerability rule — distance to intakes

Absolute, non-derogable prohibition on installation within 35 m of a declared intake or well used for human consumption (Arrêté of 7 September 2009 as amended by the Arrêté of 7 March 2012; Art. R.214-5 of the Environmental Code).

Attenuation model (Domenico solution)

For each receptor identified in the flow plume, the residual concentration is estimated using the analytical Domenico & Schwartz solution (dispersivities, retardation, first-order degradation), compared against the quality references for water intended for human consumption.

The software does not eliminate the need for a contradictory site visit or review by the competent SPANC. It does not replace the engineer's expertise.
