Human health risk assessment (EQRS)
Calculation of the Hazard Quotient (QD) and Individual Excess Risk (ERI) for adults, children (ADAF=3) and workers. Compliant with US EPA 2004 and ANSES 2018, INERIS ERS 2021 methodology.
SARL G.M.E.P designs its software based on hands-on field practice in the diagnosis and management of contaminated land. Every tool reflects a proven regulatory methodology, traceable and defensible before the authorities.
An environmental sciences and hydrogeology engineer, Eric Azulay has spent more than a decade working on the diagnosis and modeling of contaminated land: hydrogeological characterization, pumping tests and piezometry, soil contamination diagnostics, human health risk assessment (EQRS) and regulatory case management (Water Law, ICPE, ALUR).
This operational experience directly feeds the development of GMEP software: the implemented models (Johnson & Ettinger for vapor intrusion, Domenico for soil-groundwater-well transfer, Theis and Dupuit-Thiem for groundwater drawdown) are calibrated against current standards and the concrete expectations of filings submitted to the DDT, DREAL and ARS.
Calculation of the Hazard Quotient (QD) and Individual Excess Risk (ERI) for adults, children (ADAF=3) and workers. Compliant with US EPA 2004 and ANSES 2018, INERIS ERS 2021 methodology.
Johnson & Ettinger modeling: attenuation factor α, indoor air concentration, ranking of VOC substances, chlorinated solvents, PAHs and metals.
Tier 1 and Tier 2 ecological risk assessment: PEC/PNEC ratios, US EPA Eco-SSL, ECHA REACH PNEC, sentinel receptors (Sample & Suter / ORNL TM-13391).
Multi-layer groundwater drawdown modeling (Theis, Dupuit-Thiem), IOTA classification (R.214-1 of the French Environmental Code) and Water Law filings.
Domenico (1987) model: Cc(x) attenuation curve, dilution attenuation factor (DAF), hydraulic gradient, for BTEX, PAHs, PFAS and metals.
Identification of sources, transfer pathways and receptors; development of the management plan and IEM filing compliant with French contaminated land doctrine.
