BUILT-IN AI ASSISTANT

Drawdown V15.85 — AI Multi-Layer Modelling

Multi-layer groundwater drawdown modelling assisted by artificial intelligence. 42 built-in lithologies, up to 15 layers, Forchheimer/Dupuit formulas, Mode A/B, automatic Sichardt radius, field piezometric calibration and Water Act File (IOTA R.214-1) generated automatically. Field validation at Oucques-la-Nouvelle.

International availability — automatic retrieval of geological and piezometric data (BRGM, Hub'Eau) covers France. For a project located in another country, these parameters must be entered manually by the user; per-country automation of this retrieval is under development.

Overview

Drawdown V15.85 — simplified multi-layer modelling

An analytical Forchheimer/Dupuit approach, 42 ready-to-use lithologies and an AI assistant to interpret results and suggest parameters.

42 built-in lithologies

VLOOKUP drop-down list with typical K permeabilities by lithological family, up to 15 layers per borehole (from / to / lithology / K).

Forchheimer / Dupuit

Q_i = 2π·K_i·e_sat_i·s / ln(R/r) × 3600, multi-layer balance Q_total = Σ Q_i over 15 layers, automatic saturation per layer.

Mode A / Mode B

Mode A: fixed flow rate Q → drawdown s calculated. Mode B: fixed drawdown s → flow rate Q and volumes calculated.

Built-in AI assistant

Automatic interpretation of results and parameter suggestions to make the modelling more reliable, with no prior modelling expertise required.

Key features

From the field to the Water Act File

Field piezometric calibration

The static level (NS) measured on site takes priority over BRGM data for calibration faithful to actual conditions.

Automatic Sichardt radius

R = 3000 × s × √(K_max) automatically calculated from drawdown and the maximum permeability of the layers.

Illustrated geological cross-section

Lithology table (from/to/label), water inflows (depth/flow rate), colour-coded legend by family, overlap-avoidance algorithm for annotations. Bidirectional Lambert 93 synchronisation.

Water Act File PDF generation

Automatic production of the Water Act Declaration File, with integrated IGN / BRGM / ZNIEFF mapping.

Comparison

Use case

Field validation — Oucques-la-Nouvelle

Tested configuration

  • Site — Oucques-la-Nouvelle (Loir-et-Cher).
  • Layers modelled — 3 saturated layers out of 15 available.
  • Maximum permeability — K_max = 5 × 10⁻⁴ m/s.
  • Calibration — field static level given priority over BRGM data.
  • Output — multi-layer Q_total balance, Sichardt radius and Water Act File generated automatically.
